About the Role

What does being a Homesharer involve?

As a Homesharer, you live in a Homeholder’s home in return for around 10 hours of practical support and companionship each week. The type of support is agreed between you and the Homeholder — it might include cooking, light cleaning, shopping, helping with technology, or simply being present and sociable at home.

This is not a care role. You are not expected to provide personal care or administer medication. What you offer is your time, your company, and your willingness to be a good housemate to someone who needs a little support.

In return, you get safe, affordable accommodation in the London Borough of Bromley — with all bills included — for just £45 per week.

You need to be able to...

Commit to around 10 hours of support per week

Pass an enhanced DBS (criminal record) check

Provide proof of identity and right to work in the UK

Supply two personal references

Be physically and mentally well enough for the role

Be kind, reliable, and respectful of others' space

Who typically becomes a Homesharer?

Students, key workers, young professionals, people returning to the UK, or anyone priced out of London’s rental market who has a kind heart and a few hours a week to spare.

The Process

How to become a Homesharer

We take our screening seriously — for the safety of everyone involved. Here’s what to expect.

Submit your application

Complete the application form below. We'll review your details and be in touch within 2 working days.

Interview & assessment

We'll arrange an interview to learn more about you — your background, motivations, availability, and the kind of environment you're looking for.

Checks & references

We carefully review our pool of screened Homesharer applicants and identify one or more potential matches based on personality, interests, and practical compatibility.

Induction training

Before being matched, you'll complete a short induction covering safeguarding, boundaries, equality and diversity, and the specifics of Homeshare.

Matching & introduction

Once approved, we'll introduce you to a potential Homeholder. You'll meet informally first, then arrange a trial stay before committing.

Agreement & move-in

A written Homeshare Agreement is put in place covering tasks, house rules, notice periods, and expectations. Then you move in — with our ongoing support throughout.
